Evan Scott, President was one of the founding partners of ESGI. Established in 2000, Mr. Scott brought many years of retained search experience to the company. Prior to helping establish ESGI, Mr. Scott was the Senior Partner and second employee with a retainer-based executive search firm where he spent 21 years. When Mr. Scott sold his shares in that firm, the company was listed as the 23rd largest search firm in the country with four offices and 125 employees.

His mission upon opening ESGI’s doors has been to bring personalized attention and sophisticated executive search experience to the firm’s clients. He believes ESGI should approach each engagement as a strategic partnership with its client. Searches are handled only by seasoned search professionals, who drive all assignments from beginning to end. His goal is to help companies work effectively with federal agencies and the systems integrators that serve government. ESGI also is committed to filling key positions fast. ESGI closes searches in far less time than average for the industry.  This differentiates the firm.

With nearly three decades of experience, Mr. Scott has helped numerous systems integrators, high-tech software and services companies, and small government contractors hire top-level executive talent. His clients have included blue-chip companies such as Lockheed Martin, Oracle, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Adobe, Unisys and SRA International. He has helped them fill positions ranging from the Board of Directors and corporate officers such as the CEO, COO, and CFO to directors of federal operations, business development, sales, and a host of other executive positions. Mr. Scott brought the first diversity nominees to such clients as SRA International and CNT (now Brocade Communications Systems). Mr. Scott’s expertise and a network of connections in the government market—built through years of experience—have made him a trusted counselor who can ensure that executive searches strengthen his clients’ strategic positioning and goals within this market.

Mr. Scott has been quoted in such publications as Business Week, Government Security News, The New York Times, WSJ Technology Daily, DC Examiner, Financial Times and Electronic Design. He has appeared on the Bloomsburg News Network discussing issues related to security and executive leadership. Mr. Scott is the Chairman for The Homeland Security and Defense Council’s Membership Committee and serves on the board of directors for the Washington chapter of the USO. He is also an active member of the Tourette Syndrome Association and has been recognized in Who’s Who in American Business. ESGI is a member of NDIAInfraGard, and ASIS.
