Ashley Lunkenheimer, Politician and Lawyer
As an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Ashley Lunkenheimer spent nearly a decade protecting communities from violent drug gangs, gun violence, and financial fraud. As Senior Counsel at AmeriHealth Caritas, she helped expand Medicaid services in Pennsylvania by working to implement a new Medicaid/Medicare program that increases access to quality preventative health care and other services for thousands of underserved residents.
Most recently, Ashley ran for U.S. Congress and despite being a political newcomer, finished 2nd out of 10 candidates (in a race that had the highest number of women running in the country) and was the highest fundraiser in the first quarter of 2018. Ashley grew up in the Philadelphia region. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Amherst College, a Master’s of Social Work from Columbia University, and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
She and her wife live in Media, PA, where they are raising their three children.
